Events and festivals
Event storage, delivered to the field, ground or venue
Organisers juggle large volumes of equipment, stock and infrastructure in tight timeframes and limited space. We deliver secure, lockable steel units to the event site and assemble them by hand, so everything stays organised, dry and where it is needed from build-up to breakdown.

Why it works
Why event organisers choose Door To Store
Keeping kit organised, secure and accessible is critical to a smooth event. A unit on site does that without a crane, a container lorry or a trip to an off-site store.
Lockable space exactly where the event is
Event and festival organisers face large volumes of equipment, stock and infrastructure, tight timeframes and limited space. Keeping everything organised, secure and accessible is critical to delivering a smooth event.
We provide secure, lockable storage units exactly where they are needed, whether that is a field, an event ground, a car park or a temporary venue. The modular steel units arrive flat-packed and are assembled by hand, without cranes or heavy lifting equipment, so they suit sites with restricted access, temporary layouts and ground conditions where a traditional container is not practical. Organisers commonly use them for:
- Secure storage of equipment, staging and infrastructure
- Event stock such as merchandise, food supplies and materials
- Tools and set-up equipment kept organised during the build
- Items stored safely overnight during multi-day events
- Support for breakdown and pack-down operations
Hire that covers the whole event lifecycle
We offer a range of sizes with hire to suit the full event lifecycle, from early site set-up through to final breakdown. Hire is weekly with a four-week minimum, billed every four weeks, so a single hire period covers build-up, the live days and breakdown, and it extends if the site is in use for longer or the event is part of an extended programme.
As a temporary structure the unit sits on suitable ground without permanent fixings and is removed cleanly once the event is complete. We deliver and collect in line with your schedule: give us seven days' notice for delivery, and again when you are ready for collection.
Why on-site storage works for events
Events need secure, practical storage close to the action. Here is how a unit delivered and assembled on the site helps during set-up, live days and breakdown.
- Stock and equipment close at hand. Delivered to the venue or site, so stock, equipment, signage, supplies and event materials are where they are needed.
- Protected during set-up and live days. Secure, weatherproof storage for event kit, stock, merchandise and supplies, away from weather, damage and unnecessary handling.
- Works where access is tight or the site is temporary. Assembled by hand, so it suits venues, grounds, car parks, service areas and anywhere cranes, HIABs or large containers are not practical.
- Deliveries held until needed. Phased deliveries, temporary stock, consumables and overflow kept out of the key working areas.
- Flexible for set-up, event days and breakdown. Hire matched to the event schedule and extended when required.
- A practical alternative to off-site storage. Less repeated loading, transport and off-site trips, so teams work more efficiently.

Questions
Questions from event organisers
Can you install on grass or in a field?
A firm, reasonably level surface is preferred. Grass can work in some cases, agreed before installation, so tell us about the ground when you enquire. We also need a clear route in with 2,150 mm of height clearance.
Our event only lasts a weekend. What is the minimum hire?
Four weeks. Hire is weekly and billed every four weeks, so one hire period covers build-up, the live days and breakdown, and it can be extended if the site is in use for longer.
How much notice do you need?
Usually seven days for delivery, and sometimes less subject to availability. Installations run 9:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday to Friday, and Saturdays by appointment. Give us seven working days' notice for collection too.
Is the unit secure overnight?
The units are steel, bolted together from the inside, with two built-in deadlocks on the door, and your team keeps the keys. Contents insurance is not included, so cover stock and equipment under your own event policy.
Can we hire more than one unit?
Yes, in many cases. The units are modular, so we can supply additional units or add space later if the event grows.
Which areas do you cover?
We are based in Luton, Bedfordshire and cover a wide surrounding area. Installation and collection within 30 miles of Luton are included; beyond that, £2 + VAT per mile is added. Check whether your event site is covered.
